Seeking Time, Talent, and Treasure…

RMMFI sees business ownership as a source of social change within families and across communities, and we strive to be an advocate for Community Entrepreneurs, a support network for small business, and a driver of the local economy. 

RMMFI believes that business ownership is a pathway for the working poor to create self sufficiency and self-worth.  For the individuals and families we serve, making ends meet on a monthly basis can be a struggle.  With limited upward mobility or opportunity to develop employment skills, these individuals often become stuck in low-wage jobs and rely on public assistance to meet even the most basic of needs.  RMMFI’s brand of microfinance combines affordable and approachable business support services and flexible microloans to offer business ownership to Colorado’s working families as a third option for generating much needed income.

Business ownership is not a quick fix, and therefore RMMFI promotes the parallel path to income generation as a long term solution to this lack of self-sufficiency.  This parallel path approach asks the entrepreneur to utilize ALL available income streams as the business slowly grows.  It is not until the business is healthy and viable enough that it becomes the sole source of income for the entrepreneur.  This is not a short term fix, but rather a long term, stabilizing approach to establishing self-sufficiency and self-worth within this population.

  • $25 – Inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs by sponsoring a client through RMMFI’s Exploring Business Ownership Workshop (note: this offering is free to the client)
  •  $50 – Allows an entrepreneur to refine their vision and create a concise strategic growth plan in RMMFI’s Mapping Your Vision Workshop or provides hard skills and strategies for implementing the business plan through our Getting Business Serious Workshop
  •  $125 – Helps an entrepreneur go from a dream to a vision (a dream with a plan attached) through RMMFI’s entire suite of Business Curious™ programming
  •  $500 – Allows a Community entrepreneur to turn a dream into a viable business through RMMFI’s full suite of Business Curious™ and Business Serious™ programming, which includes all planning workshops and action-based Group Coaching.
